These courses introduce students to the skills and abilities required to become a successful tour guide, through theoretical and practical exercises.  

As a result,  the experience gained is an invaluable benefit to a variety of career choices and other situations in life, for example,  seeking employment;  speaking professionally in front of an audience; or merely improving confidence.

Students will follow a syllabus which will offer them a set of abilities which are sought after by employers.  They will be able to gain confidence in the following:

International Students

In addition to the skills above, this intensive one week course is an opportunity for overseas students to improve their competence in English and build up confidence in communication by learning new grammar and vocabulary. 

I have taught this course abroad as well as in the UK.  Teachers and students have found the activities enjoyable and educational, as students improved their English and discovered a new found enthusiasm for the subject when they returned to their classrooms.

UK students

This is a great opportunity for students aged 16 and above, to create and deliver a series of educational and entertaining presentations on location. 

Students will gain confidence as they educate and entertain their fellow classmates and, if possible, the public at large. 

This course can be used as a module in a work experience programme, or as an intensive one week plan of study. 

Students will act as trainees and work in a professional manner at all times.

A New Career?

Perhaps, you are seeking a career change.  This course is a perfect way to start your own business as a tour guide.  Maybe you have always had a passion for a particular subject?  Well this course will give you the chance to turn that enthusiasm into a viable business.  

The 12 week course consists of one 3 hour class per week (plus homework) and regular attendance is required.  We will based in a classroom and on location in central London. 

By the end of the course, each student will create and conduct a guided walk of their choice.
